Dr. Palakkumar Patel is an Internist located in Toms River, NJ who has been practicing medicine for more than 7 years and is board certified in Internal Medicine as of 2009. His medical philosophy is to treat the whole patient through both diagnosis and education, helping to provide patients with the tools and treatment they need to prevent disease and reverse negative health impacts.

Dr. Patel is a firm believer in cost-effective healthcare, and his clinic has been designed to provide convenient access to medical care for prompt attention, diagnosis and treatment without unnecessary tests or delays. He strongly believes in personal touch that is very hard to find in most larger group of primary care providers. 

He came to USA in 2005 and worked as a research associate in Florida as well as in New York, and had gained experience in various clinical trial in Gastroenterology, Stroke and Headache treatment. He received his bachelor’s degree from M.S. University of Baroda ( India ) and had completed his Medical residency from NYU-Lutheran Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY.  

Dr. Patel has experience in treating wide variety of disorders. He had worked as a Core faculty at Robert Packer Hospital ( Guthrie Healthcare ) Internal Medicine residency program for 5 years, and has trained a substantiate number of medical students as well as medical residents (physicians in training).  He had organized annual poster competitions for the resident physicians and had helped in organizing annual medical symposium at Guthrie Clinic &Robert Packer Hospital. Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital is the recipient of numerous national awards for high quality care including the the Truven Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospitals award.

Prior to establishing Lifeline Primary Care, Dr Patel was a part of Hospitalist team at Hackensack University Medical Center ( HUMC ), in New Jersey.  HUMC has been recognized as # 1 Hospital in NJ for many years by US News & World report.  He moved to Toms River in October 2016 to pursue his dream of starting a private practice to help people with the vast knowledge and experience that he has gained from these prestigious institutions. 

Caring for patients with accessible, personal, evidence based and cost-effective treatment is what Dr. Patel enjoys the most, which is why he has established a new private practice in the Toms River area. Dr Patel has admitting privileges at Community Medical Center.
